Delivery Policy & Options

At tool-net.co.uk, we believe that you should only pay for what you get. This is why we charge for delivery on each and every order regardless of size or value.


We do not "Build In" a delivery charge to the price of the goods, imagine for a moment that we did.....

Customer A orders one heater for £100 each with "FREE" delivery. (PS we have built in the cost of delivery like our competitors!)

Customer B orders TWO heaters for £100 each. Guess what? He/She has paid TWO "Built In" delivery charges!

Customer C orders SIX heaters for £100 each - are you getting the picture?

 

It means extra work for us, but we really do calculate the gross weight and volumetric weight of each and every order we receive, if your order cannot go using 'Option 1' we will get you the best delivery price available and will always quote you the additional fee before dispatch. You can cancel your order if you think the total delivery cost is too high.

Please note, some of our products are known to require special handling as they are fragile or are shipped directly from their manufacturers, who may surcharge us for non stock order items (single item handling). Delivery Options 1, 2a & 2b will not cover items in these circumstances and an extra payment may be required. We endeavour to mark these items with "Requires Special Handling" and we reserve the right to request an additional payment to cover our increased costs

Delivery Option 1 - UK Mainland - **Covers Orders of 1 Parcel, under 30KG in weight and less than 1.4m long** - (Normally 3-5 Days)

This is by far the most popular Option, used by 99% of our customers, simply fill your basket with your items and as long they do not collectively weigh more than 30KG, can go in one single box, are not more than 1.4m long or oversize we will ship it to the UK Mainland for £6.99 plus VAT.

Delivery to a UK MAINLAND Address - Normally 3-5 working days* £6.99 plus VAT

*Please allow 3-5 working days for this delivery option (Excludes Weekends and Bank Holidays). However, most orders are delivered next day using this option, some may take longer than 5 days depending on their size and stock availability. INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY -

How much will it cost? Delivery prices will depend on the weight, dimensions and delivery address of your order. Rather than just have a set price for each country/region, tool-net negotiate the best price available from a selection of couriers and pass the most competitive quotation to the customer. There are no hidden charges and tool-net's policy is to never profit from delivery charges.

This means you only pay for the service you use!

How do I get a delivery price? The easiest and quickest way for you to get a price for shipping is as follows: Start shopping for the products you wish to order, add them to your Tool-BOX and proceed to the Checkout (you will need to register or sign in first). When prompted select Option 3- International Delivery as your delivery option. You will be given an order reference number but no payment will be requested. We will quickly calculate the shipping charge and email you details of how to proceed. You can then authorise this charge and make arrangements by email with our sales office or cancel your order. By requesting a delivery price you are under no obligation to proceed with the order.

Do I have to pay VAT (Value Added Tax)? Shoppers in the UK and E.C. (European Community) must pay prices inclusive of VAT unless a valid VAT Registration Number can be supplied before the order is processed. Shoppers from outside the UK or E.C. are excluded from paying VAT.

Our Delivery Policy and its options are ONLY for UK MAINLAND deliveries during normal business days (Monday to Friday). Deliveries outside of this area will be charged at the prevailing rates and may be subject to longer delivery times. If, for any reason, we are not able to despatch the whole of your order to meet your requested delivery, we will endeavour to arrange a part shipment and send you a dispatch confirmation E-mail. As per the Cancellation & Returns Policy, if this is not acceptable, the customer will always have the option to cancel the order in part or in full and to receive a refund for each cancelled product and any applicable delivery charges. Please note if only part of the order is cancelled a delivery charge may still be applicable for any remaining items. See Delivery Options below for delivery charges.

Whilst we aim to deliver all items from stock, it may sometimes be necessary to deliver some products directly from our suppliers. If this is necessary delivery times and methods may differ from those of www.tool-net.co.uk. All orders will be dispatched by a form of recorded delivery or courier. Please make sure someone is available at the delivery address to sign for all deliveries as without a signature, we will instruct goods not be left for security reasons. Delivery agents will typically make at least 2 attempts to deliver the goods before returning them to the sender. In the event that the delivery agent is unable to locate the delivery address or obtain a signature resulting in the goods being returned to us, we will contact you to arrange payment of further re-delivery charges.

The Courier or our Agent will ask you to sign for your order, often in a box marked "Received in Good Condition" Please remember to inspect the condition and quantity of your packages/goods before signing for them. Only sign for each item received, noting any inconsistencies or possible damage. Claims for missing or damaged items may be significantly hindered or obstructed if they have been signed for as received and in good condition. There is no need at this time to inspect the contents of the parcels, you will be given reasonable time to make a claim if the contents are damaged.
