The soft start gives a gentle, controlled run-up to full speed. A built-in blower function keeps the line of cut free of sawdust, ensuring a clear view at all times. Convenience is further improved by the instant spindle lock, for quick and easy changing of the saw blade. For correct straight forward cuts a guide rail can be easily mounted.

Ideal for cutting wood and composites up to 85 mm thick
the 5885 is ideal for cutting all kinds of wood and composite materials such as hardboard, plywood and MDF at depths up to a full 85 mm. That means this circular saw easily handles bigger construction, renovation and general carpentry jobs. Rip and cross cuts can be made equally effortlessly, including both straightforward 90° cuts and 45° bevel cuts. A high quality 24-tooth 235 mm carbide-tipped saw blade is included as standard for general-purpose use.
