Ideal for cutting wood and composites up to 85 mm thick the 5885 is ideal for cutting all kinds of wood and composite materials such as hardboard, plywood and MDF at depths up to a full 85 mm. That means this circular saw easily handles bigger construction, renovation and general carpentry jobs. Rip and cross cuts can be made equally effortlessly, including both straightforward 90° cuts and 45° bevel cuts. A high quality 24-tooth 235 mm carbide-tipped saw blade is included as standard for general-purpose use. Built on over 80-year Skil heritage The 5885 embodies all the durability, performance and value that go right back to 1924, when Skil invented the first electric circular saw – the legendary Skilsaw. Underlining this unique heritage, and giving users the assurance of a tool that is designed and built for pragmatic professionals, the 5885 comes with a ‘1924’ coin attached to the cord guard of the saw.
