The new Makita 2704 table saw extends the range of high capacity sawing machines for the professionals in the carpentry and construction trades. Adding this new table saw to the newly introduced LF1000 flip-over saw and the three models of slide compound mitre saw, bench top planer and combination bench saw, the Makita wood machinery range provides a comprehensive solution to every task.

The Makita 2704 has a 255mm diameter blade powered by a 1650watt motor that will run up to 4,600rpm. This saw has a maximum depth of cut at 90° of 89mm and a useful 63mm at 45°. The bevel angle range is a class leading minus 0.5° round to 45.5°. The size of the table is variable in length, from 665-1045mm, and a width of 753-1066mm including back and right sub tables.

Safety is designed into all Makita products and this table saw has a fully enclosed, self-adjusting blade guard. The trigger control has the soft start system, which starts the blade rotating without the sudden torque load that can snatch at the timber. An electric brake automatically stops the blade the instant the trigger is released.

Accuracy in a table saw is the product of blade control and motor mounting together with a rigid table and chassis. Makita drives feature self-aligning bearings and this saw has a solid cast aluminium base plate and rigid steel framing for precision. Controls and machine marked fence points ensure safe and accurate productivity.
